Vikram Buddhi sentenced to 57 months

Vikram Buddhi, an NRI who represented himself after firing his lawyer Arlington Foley on Thursday, setneced to 57 months and 3 years of supervised release. The case on him is 'His hate messages against then US president George W. Bush and the vice president Dick Cheney and their wives from a Computer in Purdue University the place where is working as a part time lecturer and a Phd Student.

He is 38 years old (from IIT)and been in prison since April 2006. So he these months are likely to be deducted from his prison term. He still can appeal on this in a 10 days time from now. Before the sentencing Buddhi submitted to the judge T Moody that he had got "ineffective assistance" of the counsel and said it was the "gravest error of justice".
