recently EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) came into the picture and i have many doubts about this EVM. Doubts like the following.. One of my friends even asked me “hey come! now all over India they need EVMs.. let us manufacture and sell it to the election commission, i have known people inside.. :)” Really? i was surprised.. can we do this business? :) like this we have many questions..

who manufactures it? Can i create on my own and sell these things to election commission?
how many votes can go in to one EVM?
what if there is no power in my village? can i still cast my vote using EVM?
what if there are many candidates contesting from my constituency? can this EVM assign the buttons for all these candidates?
Can i do rigging nicely with an EVM or with a ballot paper? etc., etc., |
