• Leadership of the Telangana Movement is out of the control of Recognized Political Parties which have a broad public support.
• Maoists and their frontal organizations are in total control of the agitation though they are not appearing in the forefront as a strategy. They are providing the direction to the Students JAC ( Joint Action Committee ) of OU ( Osmania University ) and through them they are directing the Political Parties and the Telangana Political JAC in particular. Also the convener of the Political JAC Mr. Kodandaram is a former APCLC member and an active frontal organization member. Through Mr. Kodandaram and the Student JAC the Maoists are controlling the direction and intensity of the agitation.
• This is very much evident from the interview of Katakam Sudershan @ Anand Central Committee Member CPI ( Maoist) On 03/01/2010 wherein he stated that..... "It is significant to note that the University students are agitating on a political issue in such a large scale after almost 20 years. Telangana students are prepared to fight (for Telangana cause) without any compromise. They are in a position to lead and take the movement forward even if any other section involved in the movement relents. Osmania University is known for its revolutionary traditions since its inception. We appreciate great leaders like George Reddy and Santosh Reddy produced by the University. We sincerely wish that the University students will take the movement forward without any compromise".... See More
• On 24/12/2009 Kishenji @ Mallojula Koteswara Rao Central Committee Member CPI ( Maoist) has said in an interview "We will not join hands with the above said political parties or their leaders. However, we appeal to the parties forming JAC to leave Congress, TDP and TRS. I would call upon the students who play pivotal role in agitations, to go to the people. Take words of politicians with a pinch of salt. Don’t believe them blindly...... See, Whether Telangana is created or not, it belongs to Maoists. It belongs to the democratic people of Telangana. It belongs to the Telangana people who fought against the landlords for several years. Nobody can deny this. Maoists and Peoples Militia are on all sides of Telangana. They are working politically for a long time along with Telangana people. The Maoist leadership is a force to reckon with".
• THE POLITICAL PARTIES AND THE DEMOCRATIC POLITICAL PROCESS HAVE BECOME IRRELEVANT IN THE AGITATION . This trend points to anarchy and disintegration.
• It is very dangerous and is the anti-thesis of DEMOCRACY.
• They have managed to SUBVERT the SYSTEM AND THE MEDIA { the media has unwittingly fallen to the trap of sensationalism and TRP ratings which is successfully exploited by the Maoists and their open organizations } and have heightened the tensions in the public and have sowed the seed of regionalism in them by inciting that the loss of employment in one region and the loss of their economic prospects is due to exploitation by the people of the other region.
• In the process they are also trying to recruit for the Maoist movement. Please read this in the light of the fact that the hard core , top cream of the Maoists are from the Radical Students Union members who were the students in the Universities. { On 24/12/2009 Kishenji has said in an interview : "I was in Eleventh Standard in 1969. I was studying in our village High School. The separate Telangana agitation started then. That is the time, I embraced revolutionary path. 1969 Telangana agitation was the genesis". }
• On 28/12/2009 Kishenji has said in an interview “……The demand for separate states for Telangana, Vidarbha and Gurkhaland is long pending. Thousands of people from Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Kashmir etc. are sacrificing their lives and leading movements for their states. Maoists are with them in all their “Nationality Struggles”. Even undivided Communist party of India, later CPI, CPM and presently, CPI(Maoist) are with them in their nationality struggles”.

• The frontal organization leaders like Varavara Rao, Gaddar, Bellya Naik, Pasham Yadagiri, Allam Narayana and other Pro- Maoists elements are fully associated with the students movement. They are providing the direction and are trying to intensify the agitation . Since the Telangana region has a strong militant base , the Maoists are trying to stimulate it to revive their movement in the region.

• This is the only region in the World where the Red Line ( Maoist Dominated areas ) and the Green Line ( potential areas where ISI sponsored Jehadi is possible) CONVERGE. It is also important to note that the unfinished agenda of the Le-T ( Lashkar- ei – Toiba) as stated by its founder Hafeez Mohd. Sayeed in its annual conference at Muridke, Lahore, Pakistan in November 1999 …..”that apart from J&K, liberation of the erstwhile Muslim princely states of Hyderabad, Junagarh etc is on our agenda.” Already eleven Communal organizations have extended their support to the agitation and KCR’s daughter Kavitha has held a conference on 04/01/2010 with some of these elements. Some of the prominent communal organizations like Civil liberties monitoring committee, Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Muslims forum for Telangana, Students Islamic Organization, etc have extended their support for the Telangana agitation.

• THE REASONS CITED ABOVE HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DISINTEGRATE AP AND THE ADJOINING REGIONS LIKE MAHARASTRA (VIDARBHA), TAMILNADU (NORTH AND SOUTH TAMILNADU), KARNATAKA (COORG) AND PLUNGE IT INTO CHAOS. THIS WILL BE EXPLOITED BY THE OPPOSITION PARTIES LIKE BJP, ETC WHICH WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT TO DEFEND NOT ONLY IN AP BUT ALSO IN OTHER STATES. THUS TEMPORARLIY EVEN IF CONGRESS PUTS THE MOVE TO DIVIDE AP ON HOLD, THE CRITICISM WILL BE LIMITED ONLY TO THAT EXTENT AND IN TELANGANA REGION ONLY WHEREAS THE MOVE TO DIVIDE AP AND SUBSEQUENT DISINTEGRATION WILL COST THE POLL PROSPECTS OF CONGRESS AND OTHER LOCAL PARTIES ENORMOUSLY .

IMMEDIATE STEPS :

• TO FORM A COMMITTEE TO FINALIZE THE ROADMAP FOR COMMENCING WIDER CONSULTATIONS ON HOW TO EVOLVE CONSENSUS.

• To bring in public order and peace. Police must be given a free hand and the Center must not be unduly worried about the resultant costs in bringing Peace and public order. Government of India must not succumb to the threats of students and their agitations with the sole aim of bringing in Peace in AP. It must provide the state with necessary force requirements to tackle the agitations.

• THE FIRST STEP MUST BE to USHER IN PEACE AND PUBLIC ORDER. Only then the MLAs and MPs can go to their constituencies and understand the concerns of their electorate, the local body representatives, the students, the employees and other stake holders. Only then they can VOICE OUT A REAL PUBLIC OPINION.
