According to the report, the party would win 178-183 Assembly seats and 33 Lok Sabha seats. Rajagopal said Congress would win hands down in 158 seats while it would be a close fight in 54 seats but would end in Congress hands. According to the poll, all the sitting MPs would win, but a good number of the ministers in the state are likely to bite the dust. Only 15 of the 39 ministers are likely to win, the survey said.
Among the prominent ministers whom the survey predicted would lose are major irrigation minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Sabita Indra Reddy. But the Rajagopal survey predicted that home minister K Jana Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president D Srinivas would win with a comfortable majority. Even those who defected from the TRS to Congress would win.
Congress winning numbers by Region: Telangana( total : 119) - Congress wins in : 38, Rayalaseema(total : 52) - Congress wins in : 32, and in the coastal belt(total : 123) - Congress wins in : 85.
