The Andhra Pradesh Govt has issued a notification to change the Kadapa district name to Dr. Y S Rajasekhar reddy district. And has set 30 days to receive any complaints. “name Kadapa is actually from Gadapa",...meaning the place where our feet fall before we reach the Lord’s abode(Tirumala). If you remove Kadapa, this historical significance will be lost”What you think? Is this a Fair act?
Proposal to change 'Kadapa' name to 'YSR': If this continues, tomorrow we will see KCR district instead of Medak, Rosaiah district for Guntur, CBN district for Chittore. Till date no one suggested to change Krishna district name to Legendary NTR's name. Do we need to believe that YSR did better service to people than NTR? Is that the reason why our hopeless ministers suggesting YSR's name next to Potti Sriramulu?
System n Society are forever and not the Individuals. It should not become a trend and more over, every state or district or a village has it's own significance for it's name. We can't go on changing those historical names for every Tom and Jerry.. till today, Gujarat is not named after our 'Father of Nation' Mahatma Gandhi. Then why the hell do we need to change Kadapa's name??

It is so sad to hear that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is moving towards changing the name of Kadapa (Cuddapah) District to late Dr.YSR's name.
If the same thing continues, where will be the end to this?
Following are my opinions:
If state Gujarat is not state Gandhi, why district Kadapa as district YSR?

those who did good to the people will always remain in people's hearts and there are so many other alternatives if we really want to name after them. Like we see everyday, Bridges, Airports, Stadiums. Why renaming cities/districts/states? Is it honoring an individual at the expense of losing the historic/cultural significance of the place/country?
This is not just my opinion and i have observed 100 out of 100 people saying the same (similar opinions) on different forums and social networking sites and in the common talks. Is it really necessary for this Government to rub it's (or the group of ministers') ideas on us though none of us like the idea of changing a district's name to a late chief minister's name? (He is just another chief minister among the rest of chief ministers of AP who were passed away). It is very well understandable that the people in the villages won't or can't go and file a complain or write a letter to the authorities against to this Government's idea as it is beyond their ability and it has got nothing to do with their daily bread and butter problems. It will affect them in no way and so naturally there won't be much hue and cry over this issue in the villages of the districts. But we, being educated and understanding the importance maintaining the values of the society are coming forward to request you to look into this issue seriously.
I humbly request you to look into this matter and advise the concerned authorities what you feel appropriate for the society.
