As expected, Harish Rao made it big way. Harish Rao of TRS won the by-elections with a record majority of 95,850 votes on Srinivasa Gowd of Congress. TDP candidate, actor Babu Mohan and the congress candidate Srinivas Gowd lost the deposits in Siddipet. From the begining Harish Rao is saying that his target is 1lakh votes majority. It seems he succeded to come close to that 1lakh votes majority win from siddipet assembly. Babu Mohan got 4,650 votes and Srinivas Gowd of Congress got 11,600 votes.
by the end of 3rd round, Harish Rao's majority is 24,000 and
by the end of 9th round, harish Rao's majority is 55,000.
This 95,850 votes majority beats YSR's majority from Pulivendula in 2009 general elections. At that time YSR won with 68,681 votes where Harish Rao won with a majority of 64,670. Just a couple of thousands behind to YSR's majority. But this time, he broke all the records with his 95,850 votes majority.
On the other hand KTR, son of KCR is facing a tough fight in siricilla which shows Harish Rao is the real competitor to KCR for the president post of TRS. Even in the last general elections, if KCR managed to win MP seat with 15,000 majority, it is only due to Harish Rao's Siddipet constituency majority, if not KCR would be sitting at home by now. :)
