State election commissioner A.V.S. Reddy released the Greater Hyderabad Muncipal Corporation (GHMC) elections schedule today. The schedule is
(a) 31-10-2009 as the date for the issue of public notice
(Saturday) by the Returning Officer under section 35
of Greater Hyderabad Municipal
Corporation Act, 1955;
(Nominations can be filed from this date
from 11.00 A.M to 3.00 P.M)
(b) 06-11-2009 as the last date for making nominations;
(Friday) (Upto 3.00 P.M)
(c) 07-11-2009 as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(Saturday) (From 11.00 A.M on wards)
(d) 10-11-2009 as the last date for withdrawal of
(Tuesday) candidatures;
(Upto 3.00 P.M)
(e) 10-11-2009 as the date for publication of the final list
(Tuesday) of contesting candidates;
(After 3.00 P.M)
(f) 23-11-2009 as the date on which a poll shall, if
(Monday) necessary, be taken
(Timings of poll 7.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.); and
(g) 26-11-2009 as the date of counting;
(Thursday) (From 8.00 A.M. onwards)
