"Ek Niranjan" BJP is going alone into the elections field as there is no other party interested to join hands with it. The BJP on Saturday announced the first list of 33 candidates for the GHMC elections to be held on November 23.
The list includes 11 women and one from a minority community and three former corporators of the erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH). The three former corporators include B Venkat Reddy from Barkatpura division, P Swaroopa Goud and Shankar Yadav from Sultan Bazar. The only Muslim minority candidate is Shaik Adil Ali, who will be contesting from Somajiguda.
Talking to media, the BJP city president Ch Ramchandra Reddy said that out of the 33 candidates, 24 belong to BC, 6 OC, one each from SC, ST and minorities.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday announced its second list of 11 candidates for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
elections to be held on November 23. The total number of candidates announced so far is 44.
The party nominees are Umarani -Amberpet constituency -Kachiguda division-BC, K Rajaih Goud - Quthbullapur constituency -Jagadgirigutta div-BC, B Shakar Reddy- Quthbullapur constituency -Suraram Colony div, A Jitender Yadav -Malakpet constituency- Azampura div-BC, M Kumar -Charminar constituency -Moghalpura div- SC, P Anand Kumar Yadav -Charminar constituency -Noorkhan Bazar div-BC, K Sahadev Yadav -Yakutpura constituency- Kurmaguda div-BC, O Shankar Reddy -Kukatpally Old constituency- Bowenpally div, G Narsing Rao -Kukatpally constituency- Kukatpally div, K Swaroopa Goud -Maheswaram constituency- Saroornagar div-BC and V Radha- Maheswaram constituency- Ramakrishnapuram div-OC.
On Saturday, the party released its first list of 33 candidates of which 11 were women.
