The countries where people feel unsafe walking home at night

17. August 2009 by Close To Reality 0 Comments

Here is the list of countries in the order of number of people feel unsafe walking home at night in their own countries.. You know what? Indians are the last in those list, It has even beaten USA in this list. But what do you think the answer of Indians "If they feel unsafe because of their neighboring country?" Answer will be a 100% "YES". Indians are more afraid about the neighbouring terrorists than the local burglars. Why not a Nuke on Pakistan Terrorist training centres residing at Indian boarder?

This global report 2007 says  'based on ICVS and United Nations data, depicts the responses of people from 35 developing and industrialized nations when asked how safe they felt walking home at night. It is obvious that although the fear of crime is pervasive, it is also extremely variable, with the highest levels of fear reported being in Brazil, where 70 per cent of respondents felt unsafe walking home at night, and the lowest in India, with 13 per cent. Latin American and African nations rank among the top ten. Regionally, the fear of crime and violence tends to correlate with police-recorded crime and victimization surveys of crime and violence.'

Is it Indians are good or they are very confident that they don't have anything so valuable to lose 'if they walk alone at night?' Cool
