After the Mumbai terror attacks on 26/11/2008, a need was felt to have the presence of NSG in other metros also for effective and quick response in countering such incidents. The regional hub at Mumbai will get operationalised on 30th June 2009 and the hubs at Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata will become operational on 01st July 2009.
