Expedition 20 Soyuz Commander Roman Romanenko and Flight Engineers Frank De Winne of the European Space Agency and Bob Thirsk of the Canadian Space Agency were greeted by station Commander Gennady Padalka and Flight Engineers Mike Barratt of NASA and Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency May 29, 2009. Their arrival expands the number of residents on the complex from three to six crew members. NASA has selected the winner of its rover-naming contest based on the quality of student essays, name preferences of the Mars Science Project leaders and a non-binding public poll. The online poll received more than 65,000 votes worldwide. A playground called Miracle: The Parkersburg, Iowa May 25, 2008 tornado destroyed the swimming pool park playground. Two weeks later, two local citizens started a Rebuild the Playground Park Committee and began the process of soliciting funds from businesses and the private sector along with having the entire rebuild done by volunteers and adding a second park on the east side of town. The crew for space shuttle Atlantis STS-125 mission arrived at Ellington Field near NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, on May 26. Atlantis landed on May 24 at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. The crew members are Commander Scott Altman, Pilot Gregory C. Johnson and Mission Specialists John Grunsfeld, Mike Massimino, Michael Good, Megan McArthur and Andrew Feustel. The crew conducted five spacewalks to complete the final shuttle mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope. [More]

The new Primary Education Minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad will be releasing it at Indira Priya Darshini hall in Hyderabad. An estimated 13,58,916 students took this exam and waiting for their results eagerly. These results are supposed to be released few days ago, but the officials postponed it for the new minister to release them. Mark lists will be available online at aponline e-seva centres.
